The Oxonia Network inaugural conference on ‘Research Enterprise, innovation and Entrepreneurship’ was jointly organised with the OAED and held at Said Business School on 3-5 August 2015. The event attracted a diverse community of people from universities and industries, who shared the common objective of making a positive impact on society through better education. 

The conference included a series of presentations on innovation and entrepreneurship from the delegates, partners and guest speakers including an opening remarks by Sir Trevor Baylis, British inventor of the Clockwork Radio and the keynote speech by Prof. Sahol Abubakar, President of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The conference Young Innovator Award went to Paula Mugisa and Bhavik Mavadia from the University of Buckingham and the Best Conference Paper was awarded to Prof. Murtala Sagagi from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria.


The Oxonia conference will be held annually at member universities.
